Another delightful dinning experience at Costal Fish Company. Food was superb in both flavor and presentation (Calamari, Caesar Salad, Salmon, Sword Fish). Paige-M, our Server, was charming, attentive, and very patient. Kudos to the Kitchen Team, Managers, and Servers for consistently providing a great dinning experience, even when the restaurant is extremely business. That is why we confidently recommend Costal Fish Company to friends and business associates.

Our first ever visit to Coastal Fish was on Labor Day. Given the ease of a same day reservation on the patio, it was surprisingly busy. Our server told us they were unprepared when she arrived at our table a good 5 minutes after we arrived. However, what more can possibly be said about the food and the gorgeous sunset view over Lake Hyde?? We started with the Tuna Tartare and the Shrimp & Brie dip (seriously delicious!!) . It took a good while for our entrees to come out, but at this point, the sun was starting to set and I was actually glad to not be distracted from the amazing view . This is where the amazing service team filled in so many gaps. Walking to the ladies' room, I was a little stunned at how absolutely anyone in the front of the house staff will stop and step aside for customers. A literal team of people waits on every table, from those who fill water and bring bread baskets, to food runners who deliver the food from the kitchen. This is unmatched by any other place in Memphis. Our entrees finally arrived, and my Rainbow Trout over a risotto cake absolutely did not disappoint! The fish was perfectly prepared and finished with a creamy leek sauce; delicious in every way. For some odd reason, my husband chose the Pork Chop. It is generally against good advice to order something that a restaurant does not specialize in, and definitely was the case here. He was disappointed in all the flavors on his plate, from the chops to all the sides of black beans and rice to the plantains. This is where the service went south. We waited a really long time to order dessert (for the love of God, DO NOT skip the chocolate covered Key Lime Pie!!) and have it delivered. We had specifically asked for the check when the server brought the pie, but it never arrived. At the point that our table was descended on by mosquitoes, we went inside and paid at the manager's kiosk. Despite the gaps in service by our main server, I will return to Coastal Fish again and again.

Coastal Fish is a great spot for dates and special occasions. The food, service, and atmosphere are stellar. Probably the highest quality seafood in Memphis. The view of the sunset over Shelby Farms is impeccable. Their cocktails are all generally good and they have a nice selection of wines. The coconut crème brûlée is a must have. Unfortunately, in my most recent experience here, the clams on my clam linguine were very chewy. I asked them for a redo on the clams, and the second round was still very chewy, so I've given up on their clams. I recommend the royal red shrimp and the tuna entrees.

Back again because the food is so great. Not overly hungry so we split a chopped salad and then both had 1 crabcake. Delicious! Valet service easy and a pleasant greeting as we entered. The wait staff great, pleasant and knowledgeable. Atmosphere in the restaurant very nice and it was a busy place where we sat at a high top table. Plenty of food this evening and it was delicious. We will return.

Had Father's Day dinner out on the patio. It was the hottest day of the year and was miserably hot out there. The restaurant and staff was doing all they could to keep everyone cool they even served frozen towels to the tables to place on your neck or however you chose to use them. If you could focus on the food (versus dying a hot miserable death), it was superb as usual. We had sashimi as an appetizer and it was great. We had sea bass and lobster ravioli as our meals. The food and drinks and bread were amazing. Our server did everything she could to make our experience great. As always, Coastal Fish does not disappoint.

Had a reservation at 7 for a party of 8 and promptly got sat! Which was great. The place was packed as always. The server was so nice and answered questions. We sat outside it was hot but pleasant. Once the sun set it was a lot better. We had an array of apps. The Shrimp Diavolo was good. The sauce was more sweet than savory but still good. Everybody said their apps were good as well. For entrees we had a couple of different items. I got the Louisiana Red fish. The actual fish was really good but I wasn't a fan of the pasta jambalaya (maybe the texture) . I wouldn't get that again. I got a mocktail that was delicious! Overall great experience will be back to try different items

Came here to celebrate my mom and aunt for Mothers Day. It's my second time dining here. The staff was very welcoming as soon as you enter the doors. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice. We sat on the patio to enjoy the nice view, I hate I didn't take a picture. We started off cocktails and the egg rolls. Everyone loved their cocktails and the egg rolls were delicious. The slaw paired well with it and I'm not a slaw girlie. If you like bourbon the Commodore cocktail I highly. I ordered the Louisiana Redfish as my entree and it did NOT disappoint. I let everyone at the table try it and they also said it was delicious. My dish as the fav on the table, the other dishes that were ordered were: Crab cakes (asparagus instead of green beans) - 4.5 stars Lobster Ravioli - 4 stars Chilean Seabass - 4 stars Grouper - 4 stars Caribbean pork - 3.75 stars (plantains were the least favorite item on the plate) I totally recommend for a group, romantic dinner, etc. sit in the patio if you can. It's open year round and they do have heaters for the winter. I will totally be back my next visit to Memphis.

I've been back several times since my last review! I must say they are pretty consistent with their service, food, and vibe. I always love sitting one the patio. The water is just so beautiful to view. It's relaxing and just sets a tone unmatched. Guess what? I am now an oyster lover! I literally went with a friend and sampled all of the oysters. We had the following: Lump Crab Melt- 10/10-This is packed with meat, cheese and crouton style bread. It is the first I ever had and the best. I love it. NOLA Style- 9/10- This is simple, but packs flavor. This is especially good with the lemon juice and hot sauce. Bacon, Bourbon & Chipotle 6/10 - packed with bacon and topped with a jalapeño. The bacon was a bit hard and was falling off the oyster. I couldn't enjoy it. I wish the bacon was cooked more into the oyster. Lobster Brie Thermidor - 10/10 - This was packed with cheese and lobster as well, but has a completely different taste than the lump crab meat kind. Super good.

Coastal Fish has undoubtedly become one of my favorite restaurants, a place that never fails to impress me with its exceptional food and outstanding customer service. In fact, I am eagerly anticipating my upcoming visit this week, where I will be treating my team to a delightful dinner. One of the reasons why Coastal Fish holds a special place in my heart is the consistency it offers. From the moment I step foot in the restaurant, I know exactly what to expect - top-notch customer service and consistently delicious food. While the menu offers a variety of enticing options, there are a few dishes that have captured my heart. Although I occasionally indulge in the Charbroiled oysters, my true passion lies in the San Francisco Cioppino. This dish, served in a vibrant red pot, is a seafood lover's dream. Filled with a rich and flavorful broth teeming with shrimp, swordfish, mussels, and more, it never fails to leave me craving for more. The robust flavors and generous portions make it a dish that I often find difficult to share, as I want to savor every last bite. In fact, I often end up taking some home to enjoy later, as it is simply too good to resist. While I am captivated by my own chosen dish, I can't help but notice the satisfaction on the faces of those I dine with. The variety of seafood and fish options, along with other offerings like steak, cater to a range of palates, ensuring that everyone finds something to delight their taste buds. Coastal Fish truly knows how to please its patrons. In addition to the exceptional food, Coastal Fish offers a few extra touches that enhance the dining experience. The patio, with its breathtaking sunset views, provides a serene and picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable meal. Although the chillier weather may deter outdoor dining at the moment, it is an option I highly recommend during warmer seasons. The beautiful bar and interior design further add to the ambiance, creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere. Coastal Fish is not only a place I frequent for personal enjoyment but also a restaurant I confidently recommend for special occasions. In fact, I recently gifted a couple of friends a gift card for their anniversary, knowing that they would be treated to a memorable dining experience. The combination of delectable food, exceptional service, and a charming setting make Coastal Fish a true culinary gem. Whether you are seeking a delightful seafood feast or a memorable dining experience, Coastal Fish is a restaurant that should not be missed. Prepare to be impressed by the flavors, the hospitality, and the overall experience that this remarkable establishment has to offer.
